Just had a horrid thought about Chibnall S11.

So he's decided to put together a writers room and is being joined by
Matt Strevens as Executive Producer.

The question is why?

Given that RTD decided to copy the McCoy era as the basis for his
writing to show how it could have been done properly and Moffat decided
to redo the 6th Doctor and failed, I am now starting to fear that
Chibnall is intending to redo Trial of a Timelord as a 13 part serial.

Moffat has already set up the back story. The Doctor has carried out a
failed coup against Rassilon and stolen another TARDIS. The TARDIS lands
on Earth and the Time Lords demand that the Doctor is extradited to
Gallifrey to face trial. The Doctor is arrested and put on trial for
illegal entry.

Meanwhile Rassilon is purging the entire world of his opponents. Members
of the army that sided with the Doctor are rounded up and detained.
Every university dean is ordered to stand down. Teachers see as disloyal
to Rassilon are fired from their posts. Newspapers and journalists that
have published anything attacking Rassilon are closed down or arrested.
Demonstrations in favour of Rassilon are organised and his supporters
flood the streets. Rassilon speaks about reintroducing the death penalty.

On Earth the Doctor is convicted for illegal entry and is kept in jail
while his claim for political asylum is being processed. He is later
moved to a jail in the Tower of London (UNIT HQ) because of
demonstrations calling the Doctor a traitor being organised by Time Lord
agents on Earth.

Gallifray is piling up the pressure on the United Nations to extradite
the Doctor but the UN is insisting that due process of the law must be
allowed reach its conclusion. Also if the death penalty is introduced
then Earth and no other planet could possibly consider extraditing the
Doctor.

What can the Doctor do now?

The Time Lords have removed that clause from their constitution which
Rassilon has rewritten in order to make sure all the coupists and
Rassilons enemies are punished.

I should have also added that Rassilon has decreed a state of emergency
allowing him to rule over Gallifrey by dictate alone. Since his party
controls parliament none of his dictates can be overruled. The coup has
in effect made Rassilon stronger than ever.

Just had a horrid thought about Chibnall S11.
So he's decided to put together a writers room and is being joined
by Matt Strevens as Executive Producer.
The question is why?
Given that RTD decided to copy the McCoy era as the basis for his
writing to show how it could have been done properly and Moffat
decided to redo the 6th Doctor and failed, I am now starting to
fear that Chibnall is intending to redo Trial of a Timelord as a 13
part serial.
Moffat has already set up the back story. The Doctor has carried
out a failed coup against Rassilon and stolen another TARDIS. The
TARDIS lands on Earth and the Time Lords demand that the Doctor is
extradited to Gallifrey to face trial. The Doctor is arrested and
put on trial for illegal entry.
Meanwhile Rassilon is purging the entire world of his opponents.
Members of the army that sided with the Doctor are rounded up and
detained. Every university dean is ordered to stand down. Teachers
see as disloyal to Rassilon are fired from their posts. Newspapers
and journalists that have published anything attacking Rassilon are
closed down or arrested. Demonstrations in favour of Rassilon are
organised and his supporters flood the streets. Rassilon speaks
about reintroducing the death penalty.
On Earth the Doctor is convicted for illegal entry and is kept in
jail while his claim for political asylum is being processed. He is
later moved to a jail in the Tower of London (UNIT HQ) because of
demonstrations calling the Doctor a traitor being organised by Time
Lord agents on Earth.
Gallifray is piling up the pressure on the United Nations to
extradite the Doctor but the UN is insisting that due process of
the law must be allowed reach its conclusion. Also if the death
penalty is introduced then Earth and no other planet could possibly
consider extraditing the Doctor.
What can the Doctor do now?
"I hereby declare myself a candidate for President of the Time Lords"
(As per "The Deadly Assassin).
Near end of S11: The Doctor is on trial for his life. Meanwhile, Clara and Ashildr attempt to return to Gallifrey in order to return Clara to Trap Street to Face The Raven. But their Diner-TARDIS is bounced out by the transduction barriers. They can't get to Gallifrey! And the universe is unraveling! How the heck are they going to get to Gallifrey to save the Doctor and the universe?

Moffat decided to redo the 6th Doctor and failed, I am now
starting to fear that Chibnall is intending to redo Trial of a
Timelord as a 13 part serial.
Moffat has already set up the back story. The Doctor has
carried out a failed coup against Rassilon and stolen another
TARDIS. The TARDIS lands on Earth and the Time Lords demand
that the Doctor is extradited to Gallifrey to face trial. The
Doctor is arrested and put on trial for illegal entry.
Meanwhile Rassilon is purging the entire world of his
opponents. Members of the army that sided with the Doctor are
rounded up and detained. Every university dean is ordered to
stand down. Teachers see as disloyal to Rassilon are fired from
their posts. Newspapers and journalists that have published
anything attacking Rassilon are closed down or arrested.
Demonstrations in favour of Rassilon are organised and his
supporters flood the streets. Rassilon speaks about
reintroducing the death penalty.
On Earth the Doctor is convicted for illegal entry and is kept
in jail while his claim for political asylum is being
processed. He is later moved to a jail in the Tower of London
(UNIT HQ) because of demonstrations calling the Doctor a
traitor being organised by Time Lord agents on Earth.
Gallifray is piling up the pressure on the United Nations to
extradite the Doctor but the UN is insisting that due process
of the law must be allowed reach its conclusion. Also if the
death penalty is introduced then Earth and no other planet
could possibly consider extraditing the Doctor.
What can the Doctor do now?
"I hereby declare myself a candidate for President of the Time
Lords" (As per "The Deadly Assassin).
The Time Lords have removed that clause from their constitution
which Rassilon has rewritten in order to make sure all the coupists
and Rassilons enemies are punished.
I should have also added that Rassilon has decreed a state of
emergency allowing him to rule over Gallifrey by dictate alone.
Since his party controls parliament none of his dictates can be
overruled. The coup has in effect made Rassilon stronger than
ever.
Near end of S11: The Doctor is on trial for his life. Meanwhile,
Clara and Ashildr attempt to return to Gallifrey in order to return
Clara to Trap Street to Face The Raven. But their Diner-TARDIS is
bounced out by the transduction barriers. They can't get to
Gallifrey! And the universe is unraveling! How the heck are they
going to get to Gallifrey to save the Doctor and the universe?
Why would Clara want to return to Trap Street? If she goes back she dies.

Just had a horrid thought about Chibnall S11.
So he's decided to put together a writers room and is being
joined by Matt Strevens as Executive Producer.
The question is why?

Clara is no longer in the series nor is Ashildr and neither are likely
to return. They are not part of this story.

Rassilon has secretly been supporting the Daleks since the start of the
Time War in order to conquer the universe all for himself and bring back
the order of the past when there was a Time Lord Empire, and if he can't
have the universe he'll destroy it and create a new on in his image.

She's got her own portable time loop generator. She doesn't need to
return to Gallifrey. We saw her die. At some point the time loop fails
and time is restored to normal on Trap Street and that has already
happened.

The Daleks were his agents. He was manipulating them in order for them
to conquer the universe and then the Time Lords would take it over from
them after they had been weakened by the campaign.

What does her portable generator look like? Where is she wearing it? What happens if it fails while she is wearing different clothing from the clothing she was wearing when the Raven killed her? When the generator fails, will Clara disappear from the Diner-TARDIS and reappear on Trap Street?

Because the Time Lords wanted them wiped or limited.

Also if the death penalty is introduced
then Earth and no other planet could possibly consider extraditing the
Doctor.
What can the Doctor do now?
end of episode 1
Whip out his psychic paper to trick the guards into letting him out. Then proceed from there.
Psychic paper has been confiscated.
Could the Doctor trigger a regeneration without having to be mortally wounded, then use his regeneration energy to blast his way out of his cell?

Could the Doctor trigger a regeneration without having to be mortally
wounded,
River Song did give some of her regeneration energy to the Doctor.

then use his regeneration energy to blast his way out of his cell?
Regular regeneration energy isn't a weapon - it can't be "blasted"
anywhere. Matt Smith's exit was an exception because he was being given
an entire new set of regenerations.

When David Tennent regenerated into Matt Smith, he sent out regeneration bolts that set the console room on fire and caused the TARDIS to fly out of control and crash in Amy's back yard.

When Chris regenerated into David, his regeneration energy caused the TARDIS to crash also.

I therefore believe that regeneration energy can be used as a weapon.

It isn't controlled ... Tennant's Doctor didn't purposely aim to hit
(or miss) the console, etc.

It's also a case of the special effects getting more and more flashy to
retain the attention of the ADHD generation ... lots of explosions and
flashing light = excitement to them.

The Master used it against Rassilon in The End of Time and before that
Donna used it against something or someone or other.

: When David Tennent regenerated into Matt Smith, he sent out regeneration bolts that set the console room on fire and caused the TARDIS to fly out of control and crash in Amy's back yard.

: When Chris regenerated into David, his regeneration energy caused the TARDIS to crash also.

No, his quirkiness caused that crash. Rose was unsinged.

: I therefore believe that regeneration energy can be used as a weapon.

Rassilon manipulated them from inside the Matrix where his consciousness
was available to all Time Lord presidents who wore his coralett.
Why did Rassilon chose Daleks to manipulate instead of some more tractable species?

Those wars took place in Gallifrey's Dark Age when Rassilon was first in
power long before the Daleks were created.

: Because the universe is unraveling (as you have confirmed). I have gotten the impression that Clara would give her life to save the universe. I got the impression during Hell Bent that she wasn't pleased by the Doctor's willingness to risk the universe on her account.

Quite true. Still the Doctor recalls nothing.

Because time needs to balance.

So Rassilon returned to Gallifrey and resumed control after the events of "Hell Bent", and then the Doctor came back to Gallifrey to try to oust him, but failed and had to steal a TARDIS to escape?

Or maybe Rassilon's forces captured the Doctor and tried to force him to turn over Clara so that she can be returned to Trap Street, but the Doctor escaped by stealing a TARDIS (the 3rd TARDIS he has stolen!) Rassilon decided to claim that the Doctor had tried to oust him.

Kate Lethbridge-Stewart helps the Doctor escape. The Doctor and Bill start to organize an anti-Rassilon movement. Senator Bernie Sanders is an early follower. He decries Rassilon's links to big Gallifreyan banks. He calls for Universal Health Care for Earthlings and Gallifreyans alike. He denounces Rassilon's attempts to invade Earth (The End of Time).

No. The coup took place during 'Hell Bent' as did the
theft/commandeering of the TARDIS. After the Doctor left, Rassilon sent
a message to his supporters via a mobile phone link and his supporters
went onto the streets and crushed the coup. He managed to escape just in
time before his palace was bombed by his enemies and flew by aircar to
Gaillfrey's second city which he was once Mayor of to rally more support.

Rassilon has now found that the Doctor is on Earth and has demanded his
extradition for the events of 'Hell Bent'.

No, no, no and no. Rassilon doesn't need to claim that the Doctor tried
to oust him. It is a fact that the Doctor did try to oust him and almost
succeeded. All the generals that supported him have now been rounded up
including the one that regenerated into a woman and are being variously
tortured.

During Hell Bent, I got the impression that Rassilon had no support either in the military or among the civilians. The Doctor had the support of the people and military, since he won the Time War!

So you were led to believe, but the numbers we saw were tiny and limited
to the countryside. Does anyone seriously think that barely more than a
dozen soldiers were enough to fight the Daleks? Of course not. The top
brass in the army all sided with Rassilon and the coupists failed to get
the main part of the army to come on to the streets with them. After the
Doctor escaped the coupists soon surrendered to the police.

As the courtroom explodes, the Doctor dashes out, rushes to the TARDIS parking lot, and steals a TARDIS! (making THREE stolen TARDISes in his career! Or FOUR, counting a Dalek TARDIS he stole at the end of The Chase).

How does the Doctor steal TARDISes, given that they are imprinted on their owners?

Because Missy was a big mistake. It's as ridiculous as casting Tarzan as

Rassilon claims that the Doctor is in league with the Master who tried
to oust him during the events at the end of The End of Time and demands
that the Master be extradited by the galactic government from the planet
where he is hiding.
So Missy may rescue the Doctor!

But the stolen TARDIS in question contains Clara and Ashildr, so THEY would be the ones arrested!

If you steal a car and sell it to someone else, that does not exonerate
you from the crime of theft. In fact it makes it worse.

Okay, use his mental abilities to make a guard think that he is sick in order to lure the guard within his range, then beat up the guard with his Venusian martial arts.

And the Doctor can't defend himself very well because he's still in a daze from losing his memories of Clara?

How can the Doctor steal TARDISes anyway? Aren't TARDISes supposed to imprint on their owners?

How can the Doctor be tried for illegal entry when he has never been tried on that charge during previous visits to Earth?

Did the Doctor ask "Wait a minute! I have never before been charged with a crime simply for LANDING on Earth!"?
Donald Trump got elected and made entry be an alien a criminal offence.
I had assumed that the Doctor would have arrived in merry old England, not the United States!
