What happened to the Doctor's wife? I mean his real wife, Susan's
grandmother? And that begs the question, what about his children?

Until Moffat fucked everything up, it would have made sense to the
story-line that they were all dead and that was the reason why he left
Gallifrey.

Why hasn't any writer dealt with these issues? Obviously Chibnall can't
do it now because giving a female Doctor a wife or even former wife is
totally ridiculous.

Why? Even in the real world, female Doctors can have wives or even
former wives.

Good to see that Dave thinks it’s unfortunate that it’s taken so long for
women to be able to marry each other. First Liberal thing he’s ever said!

Tim - your comment is irrelevant. How do you know what the marriage rules
on Gallifrey are, which is the key question here? Clearly, in a species
where gender is mutable, any agreement akin to marriage would be
gender-blind by definition. Hence TRLA’s initial assertion is nonsense.

Time Lords changing Gender is not cannon, it's sexist, misandiristic,
LGBT bollocks inflicted on the new series by Chibnall and Moffat; since
Susan calls the Doctor, "grandfather", and the Doctor calls her his
"granddaughter", not "grandparent" or "grandchild".

What happens to Leela if Andred becomes a woman, and David if Susan
becomes a man? It's completely ridiculous LGBT SJW brainwashing.

Time Lords changing Gender is not cannon
1. It should be "are" not "is" (since Time Lords are plural, even when
they're changing gender.)

2. "Gender" should not have a capital letter (since it's not a proper
noun, even when Time Lords are changing it.)

3. It should be "canon" not "cannon" (since you probably didn't mean to
say that they're not a device for firing projectiles.)

4. The word "not" shouldn't be there (since Time Lords changing gender
are canon.)

Four mistakes in seven words. Are you trying to challenge Yads for the
record?

What would happen if your own grandfather had a sex change operation
here on Earth? You'd ask her if she still wanted to be called
"grandfather" or whether she preferred to be "grandmother" now, and
you'd respect her wishes. Problem solved. Simple as that.

If we mere humans can deal with it, then so can the Time Lords.

1. It should be "are" not "is" (since Time Lords are plural, even when

The clause being referred to by "is" is "Time Lords Changing Gender"

Your simplistic grammar is not appropriate for the above situation. You
are the one who needs to take evening classes, but I doubt they go
beyond the simplistic level either.

"Time Lords changing Gender" is the subject of canon, not are the
subject. I also suggest you read the Socratic Dialogue of Parmenides
which will also teach you that one is many and many is one, as well as
enlightening you about the philosophical basis of quantum mechanics and
relativity.

Your "what if" scenario is based on a false premise. It can never
happen, unless you intend traveling back in time and changing history,
which is also impossible.

Bloody spell checker again. It needs an AI to suggest proper corrections
based on what I'm typing instead of putting similar looking words at the
top of the list. The way things are going I'm might have to write the
bloody thing myself given that Thunderbird is supposed to be open source.

I typed was "e" and prioritize the choices that way? It needs an AI.
I surmise that your spellcheck thought you had anagrammed "Gander" into
"Gendar". The 2 words have the same letters, just arranged differently!
I see your point.

2. "Gender" should not have a capital letter (since it's not a proper
noun, even when Time Lords are changing it.)
Gander is part of the main clause therefore it should be capitalistic as
Jo and Katya is.
Why should male geese support large corporations running roughshod
over our rights and lives?

Bloody spell checker again. It needs an AI to suggest proper corrections
based on what I'm typing instead of putting similar looking words at the
top of the list. The way things are going I'm might have to write the
bloody thing myself given that Thunderbird is supposed to be open source.
So your spell check didn't suggest "Gender"?
Doing a Daniel I see.

Gander = male geese, and Aggy typed of Ganders being capitalistic.

Time Lords changing Gender is not cannon
1. It should be "are" not "is" (since Time Lords are plural, even when
they're changing gender.)
The clause being referred to by "is" is "Time Lords Changing Gender"
therefore it is "is", as in Jo and Katya is the winning couple on Strictly.

Whatever.

4. The word "not" shouldn't be there (since Time Lords changing gender
are canon.)
Wrong. They are not canon.

There were no mistakes except cannon.

it's sexist, misandiristic, LGBT bollocks inflicted on the new series
by Chibnall and Moffat; since Susan calls the Doctor, "grandfather",
and the Doctor calls her his "granddaughter", not "grandparent" or
"grandchild".
What would happen if your own grandfather had a sex change operation
here on Earth? You'd ask her if she still wanted to be called
"grandfather" or whether she preferred to be "grandmother" now, and
you'd respect her wishes. Problem solved. Simple as that.
That ain't going to happen.

If we mere humans can deal with it, then so can the Time Lords.
They are smarter than us, after all.
The Time Lords should have evolved a specific genderless terminology.
They have not, therefore, Time Lords changing Gender, is not canon.

Why hasn't any writer dealt with these issues? Obviously Chibnall can't
do it now because giving a female Doctor a wife or even former wife is
totally ridiculous.
Why?  Even in the real world, female Doctors can have wives or even
former wives.
Only recently have women been allowed to marry women.
Unfortunately!
... but they've partnered them for ages!!
We do not want to see this on Doctor Who, unless it's lesbian porn
between two attractive women; in which case it will not be suitable for
children, so homosexuality has no place in Doctor Who whatsoever.

If the second, and they lost one or other of those attributes, would you

That's not the same as them being a man. I do not have romantic
inclinations towards men. Jodie Whittaker as far as I'm concerned is a
man, therefore there is no love interest in her for me. I remember how I
felt when Captain Kirk was turned into a woman when I saw that episode
for the first time and I didn't like it, and that is going to be the
same reaction when people see the Doctor being played by a woman. She
will not be perceived as the Doctor, especially since she's a talentless
actress, that can't even control her accent or her hysterics. Doctor Who
is heading for oblivion. The best thing Chibnall and Whittaker can do is
resign immediately, before the first episode is even shown, so that
Doctor Who can be saved!

What happened to the Doctor's wife? I mean his real wife, Susan's
grandmother? And that begs the question, what about his children?
Until Moffat fucked everything up, it would have made sense to the
story-line that they were all dead and that was the reason why he left
Gallifrey.
The fact that the Doctor has felt free to marry various Earth women would imply that his Gallifreyan wife is RIP!

Unless polygamy is legal on Gallifrey!

An ex-wife or estranged wife might work. We could say that the Doctor left Gallifrey to escape from a bad marriage. He had never revealed that fact for fear of offending his Companions.

Maybe the Master was the Doctor's wife in a previous Missy incarnation! That would explain her attraction to him & his desire to reform her!

What happened to the Doctor's wife? I mean his real wife, Susan's
grandmother? And that begs the question, what about his children?
Until Moffat fucked everything up, it would have made sense to the
story-line that they were all dead and that was the reason why he left
Gallifrey.
The fact that the Doctor has felt free to marry various Earth women
would imply that his Gallifreyan wife is RIP!

His marriage to River Song wasn't technically legal. It wasn't even to
him but to a tessalecter, and the other one was part of an alternate
reality which never occurred.
Doctor 10 agreed to marry Queen Elizabeth I in 1562. I assume THAT
wedding would have been legal!
There's no record of it in history.
Hidden in the annals of history.
It's not hidden anywhere. It doesn't exist and never existed.

Why hasn't any writer dealt with these issues? Obviously Chibnall can't
do it now because giving a female Doctor a wife or even former wife is
totally ridiculous.
An ex-wife or estranged wife might work. We could say that the Doctor left Gallifrey to escape from a bad marriage. He had never revealed that fact for fear of offending his Companions.
Why would he take Susan his grand daughter with him then?
Okay, make it an ex-wife the Doctor is escaping the memory of. Even a divorced Doctor could dote on his granddaughter enough to take her with him!

Why hasn't any writer dealt with these issues? Obviously Chibnall can't
do it now because giving a female Doctor a wife or even former wife is
totally ridiculous.
An ex-wife or estranged wife might work. We could say that the
Doctor left Gallifrey to escape from a bad marriage. He had never
revealed that fact for fear of offending his Companions.

Why would he take Susan his grand daughter with him then?
Okay, make it an ex-wife the Doctor is escaping the memory of. Even a
A dead ex-wife?
divorced Doctor could dote on his granddaughter enough to take her
with him!
And what about her parents? What happened to them?
How violent.
Try this: The Doctor's wife turns into a man so the Doctor decides to
leave her. At the same time Susan's mum or dad decides to change sex, so
she decides to leave them too. Both flee Gallifrey because they've had
enough of transvestism ruining families.

Maybe the Master was the Doctor's wife in a previous Missy
incarnation! That would explain her attraction to him & his desire to
reform her!
If that is so, why doesn't he talk about it to it?

Bunny: The Doctor's wife shows up and slaps her for turning female.
Chibnall has still got to address that issue of homosexuality, and
that's why the ratings for the new series have already gone down the
toilet before a single new episode has been shown.
Chibnall will drown in infamy!

The ability of Gallifreyans to change gender would force them to legalize same sex marriage.

On Gallifrey, the people can regenerate and thus live for centuries or millennia. That would make "Until Death Does Us Part" vows totally ridiculous.

Or outlaw marriage altogether, but then there's Leela and Andred, so the
whole idea of Time Lords changing sex is totally preposterous.
